Responsible AI, across borders
ABOUT AI FOR CHANGE FOUNDATION
Founded in Finland, AI for Change Foundation works across Europe and beyond to advance responsible AI.
We connect people and ideas across borders and sectors to make sense of rapidly developing artificial intelligence and to support more thoughtful, human-centred decisions about its future.
What we do
Research and AI governance
We turn complex developments in AI governance, ethics and regulation into clear, useful insight.
Dialogue and events
We bring people together across Europe and beyond for thoughtful conversations about AI.
Community
We connect researchers, policymakers and practitioners working on responsible AI.
Education & resources
We make AI easier to understand through articles, explainers and practical tools.
WHY I FOUNDED AI FOR CHANGE
I kept seeing artificial intelligence discussed as a race for innovation, while the deeper questions were pushed aside. Who gets to decide? Who carries the risks? What happens to trust when systems begin to shape choices that affect our lives?
I did not want the future of AI to be shaped only by the people building and selling it. I wanted to create a place where different perspectives could meet, challenge one another and think seriously about what responsible AI should look like.
AI for Change began in Finland, but the questions we are asking reach far beyond one country. Today, we are building a European and internationally connected community for a more responsible, human-centered future.
